St. John's wort
(Hypericum perforatum)

Restrictions: St. John's wort may cause uterine bleeding and miscarriage in pregnant women. Do not use this herb with SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) drugs such as Fluoxetine, AIDS medication, or oral contraceptives. Avoid long exposure to sunlight.
Content: 35-40 Vol. % of pure grain ethanol (alcohol) extract of Hypericum perforatum (St. John's wort).
Suggested Uses: This herb is bitter, astringent, cooling, diuretic, emmenagogic, and has anti-depressant, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, vulnerary, and antispasmodic properties. St. John's wort works well on any area where there are many nerve endings. The petals contain oil glands that store hypericin. Hypericin has anti-viral healing properties.*
Indications: St. John's wort is useful against spinal problems, aging problems, joint pain, skin problems such as eczema, shooting pains, cravings, and trauma. The herb is also effective against stomachache, headache, concussion, toothache, colic, anemia, insomnia, burns, wounds, and sores. It can be used for sleepiness, depression, menstrual problems, uterine cramping, breast cancer, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Crohn's disease, hemorrhoids, diabetes, ear infections, AIDS, and vitiligo.*

Dosage and Directions:
Prevention: Put 1 dropper (0.7 mL) into 2 Oz. of water at room temperature. Drink once per day, preferably before bedtime.
Mild Problems: Put 1 dropper (0.7 mL) into 2 Oz. of water at room temperature. Drink twice per day, preferably in the morning and before bedtime.
Severe Problems: Put 2 droppers (1.4 mL) into 2 Oz. of water at room temperature. Drink twice per day, preferably in the morning and before bedtime.

If you are taking any medication, use this remedy at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after your medication. Do not use on an empty stomach or immediately after a meal. Do not use for more than 4 consecutive weeks. Make break for 1-2 weeks before repeated use.

Some known side effects: May cause upset stomach, restlessness, fatigue, and mild allergic reactions.
Contraindications: The herb may sensitize the skin to sunlight, may cause sudden attacks of high blood pressure, and may intensify the effects of anesthesia (during surgery).
Prescription: No prescription necessary.
Storage: Store in a dry, dark, and cool place. Refrigerate but do not freeze.
Expiration: 24 months (2 years) of date stamped on bottom of the box or bottle.
