Common horsetail
(Equisetum arvense)

Restrictions: Do not take horsetail if you take digitalis-type drugs such as digoxin. Do not give horsetail to children with kidney disease. Men with prostate cancer should avoid this herb. People with cardiac disease or high blood pressure should seek physician approval before ingesting horsetail.
Content: 35-40 Vol. % of pure grain ethanol (alcohol) extract of Equisetum arvense (Common horsetail).
Suggested Uses: This herb is a diuretic that contains silicon, an important element in nail and bone health. Horsetail is styptic, diuretic, anti-fungal, and strengthens the bladder. Horsetail contains silicon and zinc.*
Indications: The herb is used to treat arthritis, urinary tract infections, brittle nails and bones, strengthens hair, and speeds healing after surgery.*

Dosage and Directions:
Prevention: Put 1 dropper (0.7 mL) into 2 Oz. of water at room temperature. Drink once per day, preferably before bedtime.
Mild Problems: Put 1 dropper (0.7 mL) into 2 Oz. of water at room temperature. Drink twice per day, preferably in the morning and before bedtime.
Severe Problems: Put 2 droppers (1.4 mL) into 2 Oz. of water at room temperature. Drink twice per day, preferably in the morning and before bedtime.

If you are taking any medication, use this remedy at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after your medication. Do not use on an empty stomach or immediately after a meal. Do not use for more than 4 consecutive weeks. Make break for 1-2 weeks before repeated use.

Some known side effects: Horsetail can deplete levels of potassium in the body. It may cause gastrointestinal upsets in children.

Storage: Store in a dry, dark, and cool place. Refrigerate but do not freeze.
